Rajasthan: 12 newborn die in week, 77 in month; Spate of infants' death in govt hospital rocks Kota

Kota was rocked by death of 12 infants this week, two of them on Friday, in a government hospital here, prompting Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla to urge Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to act "sensitively" on the issue. According to a report by the superintendent of J K Lon Hospital, where all the deaths occurred, 77 children died this month itself till December 24, while a total of 940 infants died this year.

पुणे में डॉक्टरों, सब्जी वालों और दुकानदारों में बढ़ा कोरोना संक्रमण, सरकार की बढ़ी चिंता

Coronavirus Image Source : AP नयी दिल्ली। केंद्रीय अंतर मत्रालयी दल (आईएमसीटी) ने महाराष्ट्र के पुणे में डॉक्टरों, सब्जी विक्रेताओं और दुकानदारों के बीच संक्रमण को लेकर चिंता व्यक्त की है क्योंकि ये सभी प्रतिदिन बहुत लोगों के संपर्क में आते हैं। एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने सोमवार को यह जानकारी दी। अतिरिक्त सचिव स्तर के अधिकारी के नेतृत्व वाले दल ने पाया कि महाराष्ट्र के दूसरे सबसे बड़े शहर पुणे में कोरोना वायरस संक्रमण के मामले दोगुना होने की औसत दर देश के औसत के मुकाबले अधिक है। साथ ही पाया गया कि बस्तियों, बाजारों और अन्य स्थानों पर सामाजिक दूरी के नियमों का पालन नहीं किया जा रहा है।  गृह मंत्रालय की संयुक्त सचिव पुण्य सलिला श्रीवास्तव ने संवाददाताओं से कहा कि महामारी के जमीनी हालात का जायजा लेने महानगर पहुंची आईएमसीटी ने सुझाव दिया कि अति प्रभावित लोगों का तुरंत पता लगाकर जांच में वृद्धि करनी चाहिए। इस बीच, पुणे में अधिकारियों ने सोमवार को कहा कि वायरस के प्रसार के मद्देनजर उन्होंने बस्तियों में 'भीड़ कम' करने की योजना बनाई है। उन्होंने कहा कि घनी आबादी वाले क्षेत्र जैसे भवानी ...
